35 inch tires

Do you need 35 inch tires?

For those that have extremely large cars and trucks, a normal sized tire just isn’t going to cut it. One thing that we’d like to point out just now is that the tire size and size of the wheel as a whole is completely different. 35 inch tires are great additions for vehicles such as the mighty Toyota Hilux and even some UTVs due to the large wheel base and wheel well/arches that they have on them.

If it’s the case that you’re going to be doing a lot of off roading work, then it is crucial that your tires are as big as possible. Due to this, we would recommend that your tire size is at least 35 inches for the diameter. For those that are unsure why this is, we’ll cover it here. The diameter of the tire is the how big the tire is and wheel will be when combined from top to bottom. Therefore, a 35 inch tire will be 35 inches from top to bottom. This will give you a larger overall circumference and therefore more grip that you need for your off and on road tasks.

When it comes to selecting a tire brand manufacturer, many people often opt for Bridgestone and Goodyear. Whilst they are excellent brands, they cater for the smaller tire diameters which are more suited for day to day driving in smaller vehicles.

When you’re purchasing a 35 inch tire, you’re going to want to buy from a brand that looks after you as a customer. These tires by and large aren’t cheap, so you really need to be sure that the brand you choose offers supreme quality and comfort.

Which type of 35 inch tires should you choose?

This really depends on what work you’re carrying out with your car/truck. If it’s the case that you’re doing a lot of off road work, then it’s advisable that you select a tire that is designed for this purpose. This would normally be in the case whereby you’re working in an environment that has a rough terrain. This can include those working in forestry and also in quarries but it can also extend to those working on farms and are spending a lot of time in their truck going between field to field. Another example of the need to use these large diameter tires would be when you’re doing off road rallying and racing in trucks These tires are designed to withstand a large degree of punishment and as such may not be as well suited to a mix of driving styles.

However, it is also possible to purchase 35 inch tires that all suitable for a wide array of uses. By this, we mean that they are effectively all terrain tires. The benefit of this is that they are much more suited to use on the road as well on less than ideal terrain. This is of particular benefit should it be the case that you’re needing to use the vehicle on poor terrains as well as commuting in it as well.  Some people have noted that using solely off road tires don’t give them enough grip when driving in the rain on tarmacked roads. So, if you’re needing the grip of off road and normal road driving then the all-terrain tires are definitely the right choice for you.

Tire Checklist

When buying any tire, you should look out for the following and always go by this list:

  1. Tire type (be it all terrain or winter)
  2. Ride comfort. This is important if you’re going to be using the vehicle on a wide array of terrains.
  3. Speed rating. If you’re planning on using the vehicle in high speed situations, you’ll need to opt for a tire that can support a faster speed.
  4. Efficiency rating. Not all tires are created equal. Some are more efficient than others which is reflected in their cost.
  5. Noise rating. Some tires give off a greater noise than others. If this bothers you, you can opt for a quieter tire, but at a cost.
  6. Traction. In the ice, snow and rain your traction will be comprised. Whilst winter tires can aid in this, all year round tires can also have great grip ratings. Always opt for the tires with the best grip.

Choosing 35 inch tires for 17 and 15 inch rims.

If you’ve got 17 inch rims on your vehicle and you’re certain that you want to have 35 inch tires on them. However, it is also possible for you to get 35 inch tires on your 15 inch rims as well. Thankfully, you’ll be able to get these directly from Amazon. As mentioned above, if you’re going for an all-terrain tire, you’ll pay a tad extra for these, but the cost is well worth it. Even better, when ordering from Amazon they also offering a tire fitting service should you need it.

As with anything on Amazon, it will be delivered to your location of choice. This is particularly ideal in this case. The reason for this is that is you have a regular mechanic that you would like to fit these 35 inch tires for you; you’ll want to have it sent directly to this. This is due to the fact that these tires are in excess of 65lbs. If it’s the case that you’re needing four of them put on your vehicle at the same time then it’s a large weight to have to load up into your car and take it to your mechanic.

It is much easier (and safer) to have these tires delivered to your mechanic instead to remove this issue. If you are looking to buy 35 inch tires today, then you can get them directly from Amazon. For 17 inch rims, you can read more reviews for the all-terrain and off road tires here and here. If you’re looking to get the same tires for 15 inch rims, you can read more about them by selecting the all-terrain, or off road versions.

Who is the best supplier of 35 inch tires?

As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve made BFGoodrich our brand of choice when it comes to various sizes of these 35 inch tires. You may be wondering why this is the case when there are cheaper alternatives available online. The reason for this is that they offer both off road tires, as well as all terrain tires. This is giving you a wide degree of choice for your own needs, which is something that other tire brands don’t cater for. Also, since they offer sizes up to 35 inches, you know that you’re able to get the largest tire size that you need for your vehicle.

That’s not their only selling point, though. They are experts when it comes to designing the very best tires on the market and they stand by the quality of their work. They also cover all their tires with an exemplary warranty. They will guarantee your tires against manufacturing defects for a period of six years, or for the duration of the tire tread (whichever is soonest). This means that should there be any defects in the tire that aren’t caused by wear and tear (or acts of vandalism, wilful damage etc) then they will replace the tire no questions asked.

This should give any potential buyer total peace of mind when it comes to buying new tires for their vehicle. You can certainly buy cheaper brand tires, but the quality may not be the same, and they are less than likely to offer the same warranty provided by BFGoodrich. Therefore, by opting for a cheaper brand you’re entering into a false economy.
